Egg + stir-fried pork + prawns and garlic chives on a bed of steamed rice. Simple and colourful.
Minced Pork Marinade (4 tablespoons of Light Soy Sauce, 1 teaspoon of CORNFLOUR (not plain flour), 1 teaspoon of Sugar)
Prawns, Garlic Chives*
*Refer to my older recipes for prawns + garlic chives
1) Marinate the minced pork and leave in the fridge for a couple of hours.
1) Heat the pan over high heat and add butter/oil. Break the egg (leave it whole) and pour it into the pan. Allow the egg white to cook a little before starting to break the egg yolk (so you get a yellow and white color in your scrambled egg). Use your spatula to break the egg into small pieces. Remove and plate neatly on a bowl of rice.
2) Saute a tablespoon of garlic in olive oil/butter. Leave the garlic for some time until it becomes crispy. Put in the minced pork and stir-fry vigorously, using your spatula to break the meat into small round pieces. Remove and plate.
3) Depending on your mood, cook your 3rd dish, preferably something with vegetables.
** The portion of minced meat sold in supermarkets might be quite large, so get your parents or friends to finish up the food for you.
